Aligned

My birthday was Wednesday, 11.19. And it was great!
But even in the middle of celebrating, I found myself circling back to epilepsy awareness month. It’s wild how my birth month and EAM fall in the same space. I could go on about some divine connection between the two and how it feels like God aligned my entrance into this world with the mission He knew I’d carry. Like the timing wasn’t random at all — almost like a gentle reminder each year that my story was written with intention.

On Purpose

That’s where the thought of purpose settled in.
If there’s anything that my annual bday reflection has shown me, it’s that we thrive on purpose. We move differently when we know our “why.” We speak differently. We heal differently. Purpose gives us direction, even when life throws us off course. It’s the anchor we return to. The place where clarity and calling meet.

The overlap of my birthday and Epilepsy Awareness Month isn’t just some coincidence. It’s like a reminder to step up. To not just live with epilepsy, but to live with intention. That means making choices that actually mean something to you, standing by your story, and showing up for the people and things that matter. Living on purpose doesn’t wait for perfect timing or anyone’s approval. It shows up in little things — how you handle a tough day, the confidence you dig up to keep moving forward when the next step is unclear. Life also shows up in patterns and connections. I share my birthday with my aunt, who’s my godmother, and it happens to be my husband’s favorite number. 11.19 is all Tylar… and also not. These overlaps are a reminder that we live in a shared world, and that even as we step into our own purpose, our story exists alongside and intertwined with the lives of others.

Living on purpose also means owning your part of the story. Only you can do the work you’re meant to do. Only you can create the things you’re meant to create. That little pull you feel toward something you know you should do? That’s purpose talking. And when you follow it, life just… fits better.. Every day becomes a chance to step closer to who we were meant to be and leave something meaningful behind.

Living on purpose isn’t always dramatic. Sometimes it’s showing up even when it’s uncomfortable, speaking your truth even when it feels risky, or taking a step forward when you’re not sure what’s next. Other times, it’s quiet: choosing to be kind, offering help without being asked, or sharing your story just because someone might need to hear it. It’s all part of moving through life intentionally and fully — in ways only you can. Purpose doesn’t have to be loud to be real. It’s in the choices we make, the lessons we learn, and the people we lift along the way.

And so, as I celebrate another year of life, I don’t just mark the passage of time … I celebrate the opportunity to live on purpose. My birthday reminds me that I was brought into this world with intention, Epilepsy Awareness Month reminds me what that reason looks like in action.. And if I can take anything from both, it’s this: you don’t have to wait for permission or perfect timing. You can start now. Living on purpose isn’t just a mindset — it’s a choice, a practice, and a celebration of the life and impact we were made to have. To live fully, to give generously, to rise with no limits, and to make each day count. That is the gift of stepping into your purpose.
